Only 10 hours per week required.
If you are a student, and seeking school credit, we can send any applicable forms to your institution.
We're looking for creative, motivated people who want hands-on experience with launching a book onto bestseller lists. While we cannot offer a stipend, we can offer an intimate view into the publishing, writing, editing and even agenting industries, in whatever capacity you are most interested in; and in the future, good connections in the industry, and potential future employment with our company. There is very little mundane "office work" involved, so interns would be free to work from wherever they are comfortable, so long as they have a computer and internet connection and can be in constant communication during their work hours. Some specific tasks:
• On-line marketing of our new book You Are Your Own Gym
• Sending press releases and making phone calls to national print and broadcast media
• Finding new potential markets and publicizing the upcoming book to them
• Creating new, innovative marketing strategies for the book
Interns need to have their own computers and should be familiar with social media such as blogging, online forums, Facebook, and Twitter.
To apply, send a note to publicity at frenchquarterfiction.com.
